    TRANSFER LIMITS
    Back to FAQ's

    e. Why don't you offer UNLIMITED transfer?

There really is no such thing as unlimited transfer. Hosting services that offer unlimited transfer realize that a web server can only output so much data - which means it's not really unlimited. Based on their fees, they will place enough web sites on a single server so they may profit from the bandwidth that the server may use. This can make your web pages extremely slow since the server is being pushed to its limit. At Pharamond!, we space our sites over numerous servers assuring that your site and server will ALWAYS be fast.

    f. What happens if I go over my TRANSFER limit?

Our transfer limits are more than adequate for 95% of the sites we host. Unless you plan on streaming audio and/or video or banner advertising with Yahoo! and other search engines, you should not go over your limit. However, if you do, we will simply bill you for the additional bandwidth you use. Additional transfer is billed at $15.00 USD per gigabyte over the limit. That works out to $0.015 per megabyte.
